Terms and Conditions

 Entry into Cornwall Film Festival indicates consent to the following:

I understand that the information given on this form, where indicated, will be published in association with Cornwall Film Festival.

I confirm that I have obtained all necessary written consents from all persons, companies and organisations involved in the making of the film.

CORNISH SHORT / FEATURE FILMS

I confirm that at least one of the creative team (writer, director, producer) is resident in Cornwall and enclose details of his/her name, role and address. OR that the film demonstrates a clear link to Cornwall.

I confirm the film has been produced after 1st January 2009.

I confirm that I hold the rights in this film or relevant permissions necessary to allow the film to be screened for public exhibition at the Cornwall Film Festival 2009.  I am willing to produce evidence of such ownership or permissions if required to do so by the Festival Director, Festival Board or Selection Panel. I hereby grant the Festival the necessary licence to screen the film during the period of the Festival free of charge for as many times as the Festival Director requires.

Cornwall Film Festival can use the film or excerpts from the film for promotional purposes free of charge. I have cleared all copyright materials in this film and I have the necessary permissions for it to be used in this way. (Note: copyright material includes not just script, but also elements such as music, graphics, in-shot artwork, etc.)

The film may be considered for inclusion on 'Best of the Fest' DVD which is sent to Funders and forms part of a screening programme used to promote the Festival.

I understand and agree that any fees, costs or other claims arising from the screening of the film at the Festival are solely the responsibility and that the Festival cannot be held responsible for any breach by me of any obligations.

I understand submission of this completed application form and DVD does not guarantee the film will be screened nor its inclusion in the programme.

I understand that the decision of the Festival Selection Panel to screen the film or not is entirely at their discretion and any decision is final. 

I understand the organisers can accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to the film while it is in their hands.

I confirm that I will indemnify the organisers against any claim against them arising directly from the screening of the film, including but not by way of limitation, legal proceedings for libel or defamation.

I understand that, if the film is selected, only the main contact will be admitted free to the screening of the film (Cornish entries).

Successful applicants to the Another Country International Short Film Award will eligible for two passes to the Cornwall Film Festival 2010. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to provide any travel or accommodation bursaries.
