Seven would-be filmmakers went home with a smile and £100 apiece after winning over the audience at The Big Pitcher on Sunday 11th November at Falmouth's Princess Pavilion.
The winners of the Delabole Slate Audience Award, and Delabole Slate Award for Best Student Film were presented with their well-deserved prizes by George and Thessellie Hamilton of the North Cornwall firm at a ceremony on the last night of the Festival on Sunday 11th November.

Supported by the Your Heritage Lottery Scheme, Cornwall FIlm Festival has been involved with a really exciting project which has given five schools the opportunity to explore archive films of the past, and to shoot new footage, with five Cornish film makers. The results of this research, history and filming project will be screened before other events at the Festival.

Cornwall Film Festival, in partnership with Creative Partnerships, is pleased to announce the launch of Screen Actions 06, the Young People’s Film Festival, organised for young people by young people and we want your films to feature in this year’s event. Taking place on 16th and 17th November at the Princess Pavilion, Falmouth, Screen Actions 06 promises to be the biggest and best Young People’s Film Festival in Cornwall to date.
